I was never a flower person.

Maybe it was because i was a flower girl at my aunt’s wedding when i was five-years-old and they gave me raging allergies leaving me sniffling and sneezing down the aisle (sorry Auntie Jackie.) However- fast forward to now planning my OWN wedding and i have a new appreciation for floral arrangements. Pintrest has helped peak my interest and meeting Susan and her fabulous staff at Cherry Hill Flowers has really helped too. I notice them more now when i go to weddings; it’s truly an art. Anyone who has planned a wedding can tell you that the more elaborate you go with flowers the pricier they can be. Erica Trombetti from Infinite Events has provided options on how you can re-purpose flowers for your reception:
- Ceremony alter floral can be used on your escort table (Susan from Cherry Hill also had this as a suggestion as well.)
- Bridesmaids Bouquets can be used as table centerpieces
- Ceremony chair floral or aisle floral can be re-positioned to the cocktail tables and to the bathrooms. Just make sure you let your coordinator and/or florist know so someone moves them for you.
- I’ve personally seen bridesmaids lending their bouquets to make the sweetheart table, “pop” a little more.
- At a recent wedding i attended the bouquets were actually left as, “decoration” on the stage where the DJ was set up.
