Chris’s sister Katie told on him for hiding beer in his room. So what did he do? He went through her room, found a list of people whose genitals she wants to play with, and posted it on Facebook with all her friends tagged. "T.I. released early; coming home for Christmas."
XXLMag.com has learned that T.I. was released from prison this morning (December 22) and will be admitted into a halfway house in his hometown of Atlanta, later today.
XXL spoke with Tip’s lead defense attorney in his federal gun case, Steve Sadow, who confirmed the news. “He was released this morning from his place of incarceration in Arkansas,” Sadow said. “As I understand it, he’s on his way back to the Atlanta area. He has to report to a halfway house in Atlanta sometime this evening. And he will then spend somewhere between the next two or three months in a halfway house, ending his Bureau of Prison sentence.“
According to Sadow, T.I. will have a lot more freedom under his new living conditions. “A halfway house is more along the lines of a residential dormitory,” he explained of the rap star’s new stipulations. “You live within this house that is broken into areas for living, and you are permitted to leave during the day for certain reasons of which would be employment, medical reasons, things of that nature, and you return to the halfway house in the evening. So it’s a restriction on your liberty but it’s a way for you to reenter into society and not be confined within a jail type institution 24-hours a day.”
T.I. has been serving time in Arkansas’ Forrest City Prison since May 26, for possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as firearms from a convicted felon. He is expected to be finished with his federal sentence in March of 2010.

HP Responds Quickly to Charges of Racist Computer but the question Remains: How Did This Happen?
(via adage) Give Hewlett Packard credit for responding quickly to a viral video making the round in which an African-American man and a white woman pretty much establish that fancy new face-tracking cameras on HP computers aren’t so good (or any good) at tracking black faces. (Via Gizmodo):
According to HP, “The technology we use is built on standard algorithms that measure the difference in intensity of contrast between the eyes and the upper cheek and nose. We believe that the camera might have difficulty ’seeing’ contrast in conditions where there is insufficient foreground lighting.” The company also goes on to thank Desi, the creator of the video.
Now, that’s all well and good. And it makes perfect sense that high-tech camera equipment might have issues with different skin types. After all, a camera doesn’t operate on the notion that we are all alike on the inside. That said, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?!?
I can see two plausible explanations:
1. The company didn’t test this bit of technology at any time on anyone with dark skin.
or
2. The company did test it on various skin types but only tested it using optimal lighting.
Either way, not very bright. I know some tech engineers can be a little dim when it comes to recognizing how equipment will work with actual humans, but aren’t there other stops along the product-development way?
So far, the computer maker has been lucky in terms of reaction. It might be that HP doesn’t have as bad a reputation as the ad industry when it comes to diversity. We haven’t seen a social-media firestorm screaming #HPFail across all Twitter. Guess HP would have to offend mommy bloggers or social-media gurus for that sort of thing to happen.

"TMZ reports: Brittany Murphy Dies"
Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Murphy starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.”

"VIDEO: Shane Sparks arrested, allegedly molested dance student"
Van Nuys – Police arrested Shane Sparks — former choreographer for “So You Think You Can Dance” and judge for MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” — on nine counts of child molestation on Friday.
Sparks, also a dance instructor, was arrested at his Studio City condo Friday morning.
FOX 11 News has learned the criminal complaint, filed yesterday by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, includes nine counts… including 4 counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 14 years of age, 2 counts of sexual intercourse with a 14-or-15-year old, and 2 counts of oral copulation with a 14-or-15-year-old.
All the charges focus around one victim, and the alleged crimes occured between the years 1994 and 1997.
Sparks, for more than a decade, has also been a hip-hop instructor at the Millenium Studios — a dance studio in North Hollywood. The studio owner tells FOX 11 News that he is “blown away” by the charges. He says Sparks was “really a nice guy.”
The underage girl in this case was one of Sparks’ dance students.
In the criminal complaint that FOX 11 News obtained, Sparks is described as “the most popular dance instructor” at Millenium Studios.
He’s now being held in the Van Nuys jail, where he was booked on Friday morning. under the name Melvin Shane Spark. His bail is set at $590,000.
Investigators tell us that they believe there are more victims out there and are asking those people to come forward.

In reading the statements you have made, I can tell you are a stand up guy. Please remember only Jesus is perfect. You made a mistake and you admitted your infidelity. I have made the same mistakes. Before I got married to my wife, I had a baby with another young lady, after I already had two by my girlfriend who is now my wife. We also had another baby which makes three for us and four for me. Two boys and two girls.
My wife is a much better wife than I am a husband. We still argue and disagree after being together 16 years. and I still cope with the fact that there are so many women out there and I choose to stay loyal to my wife. I want to be home every night, but with traveling I can’t, and sometimes I might want to go to a bar or club and be one of the fellas. Most of the time I stay in, because I have my kids and wife. I cannot sit here and say the thought to have many women has never crossed my mind. If I were Jesus I could. I have known my wife for 16 years– since I was 14 years old. She was my first.
On the way to 2010 we had many ups and downs on the way, mostly my fault. But I really choose to work hard and play ball to support her and my kids. The same reason you are building your legacy. I have been disturbed by this because there are many people who are happy that this bad news has come out. There are a lot of sports announcers and regular reporters who are not perfect in their own homes, yet they want to bring you down. You have done so much for people, the sport of golf, and your family and you gave your wife a life that people can’t even dream of. I thought you were 36 or 37 until I read the news today. A 33-year-old man who has been a model citizen with so much at stake.
This is your first publicly known issue since you started your career, compared to my 50 or more publicly known issues and mistakes.

"Kid Cudi’s Alleged Victim — No Hard Feelings"
Tmz Reports: Michael Sharpe tells TMZ it all went down like this: someone behind him threw a wallet onto the stage. He says Cudi tossed it back to the crowd and Michael caught it — but since it wasn’t his, he tossed it back. Sharpe says that’s when Cudi came towards him and, he says, Cudi started to punch him.
Sharpe says his friends held him back and security quickly pulled Cudi away. Sharpe told us, “I’m not upset, I’m not going to be that person. I just want to meet him and be like ‘I’m the guy you punched.’ I’m not going to press charges.”
Based on the minor injuries Sharpe suffered, we’re not sure he’d have had much of a case anyway.

"Jay-Zs 40/40 Club bouncers fired over parking lot beatings"
The bouncers accused of assaulting two customers at JAY-Z’s sports bar in Atlantic City, New Jersey have been fired.
A number of security guards were caught on camera in October (09) kicking and punching Leonard Clark and Tyrell Durant in the parking lot of the rap superstar’s 40/40 Club after the two men were ejected for acting in a disorderly fashion.
It is unclear how many bouncers lost their jobs and representatives for the club have refused to comment.
Atlantic City police are reviewing the video footage to identify the men involved in the brutal beating but have yet to file charges in the case.

"Technics 1200 Series: Discontinued."
As digital vinyl presses on, reports are circulating in press and online communities that the the great emblem of the vinyl era is no more. Parent company Panasonic is reportedly discontinuing all remaining Technics 1200-series turntables (including the 1210).
Updated: Sources for statements from Panasonic appear to be unconfirmed and/or conflicting. inthemix is where I had read this story; some CDM readers are describing these as unsubstantiated rumors.
It’s certainly possible that this isn’t the common “wild Internet rumors” phenomenon, but the equally common “large global company representatives aren’t on the same page” phenomenon.
The inthemix story, however, should be regarded as incorrect. As reported in the Australian cnet, the Panasonic Australia source has denied saying quotes attributed to him. There’s perhaps a more interesting (if not at all surprising) story here, which is that analog turntable demand is sagging — but apparently that will not result in the immediate end to 1200 sales.
Scratchworx tracks various, conflicting statements from different parts of Panasonic. There hasn’t been a formal press release, but then companies usually send press releases when they’re introducing products, not when they’re discontinuing them, so I wouldn’t read too much into that. One possible explanation could be that circulating rumors about the demise of the 1200 may have increased demand. It isn’t hard to imagine Panasonic responding to their reseller channel if lots of vinyl-heads began demanding turntables.
It’s also possible the rumors were incorrect. It’s easy for such a rumor to start, as vendors often don’t instruct resellers (or sometimes even their own global arms) about the status of products. I’ve often had conversations with press representatives of major music tech makers who weren’t entirely sure of the status of a particular product. And with store inventories low during a credit crunch, it would be easy enough for low stock to be misinterpreted as a discontinued product.
Scratchworx also notes that supposedly officially-discontinued models have remained in the channel.

Well, Well, Well, What do we have here today? Wow!!!!!So I woke up early this morning because I have to get ready to pack to catch an early flight out of town , and I get a google alert with my name with Rihanna! So of course, I was interested on what the hell would Rihanna have to say about ME??? ME?? Really Rihanna????? Ok…but anyway before I actually read what she had to say about me, my first reaction was,
“Awww how cool! Rihanna is talking about me! She must be talking about how more women who have been in Domestic Violence cases should really support one another!”
I only thought she might have said something like that because recently TMZ asked me about Rihanna and I said that I have nothing against her but that it would send out a nice message if she could speak out about her case and give other victims more hope & feel like they are not alone. I said that in a good intention….but ANYWAYYYYY……I was wrong. Rihanna acutally said the total opposite! Sooooo in that case, You guys know me well by now, and you KNOW, that once somebody fucks with me of gets on my shitlist, You will NOT be hearing the end of me! TRUST!

Rihanna: I would have never dreamed that my career would be this successful. I grew up in an average home in Barbados, and we didn’t live in the best neighborhood. But I was never aware that we were poor; my mom never made us feel that way. She loved me unconditionally. She made us feel anything was possible and instilled in me such confidence.
Glamour: Did you sing a lot as a kid?
Rihanna: Always—in the shower, to pillows and stuffed animals, my cousins. But I knew I wanted my music to be heard worldwide. That was my dream. I was able to make demos whenever I had vacation time, but my mom always said, “You are not stopping school until you get signed.” And even when I got signed, she still made me go to school.
Glamour: You auditioned for Jay-Z at Def Jam. What was that like?
Rihanna: I was nervous as hell. The night before, I couldn’t sleep. I was trying on a million different outfits and makeup. I remember seeing Jay-Z and starting to shake. I thought he would be in a suit, sitting behind a desk with a cigar. But he was totally chill, wearing sneakers and a T-shirt. Then I went into audition mode. I knew it was all or nothing. Right away, the Def Jam people said, “You can’t leave the building.” They closed the door, and the lawyers stayed until 1:00 or 2:00 A.M. to do the deal.
Glamour: That literally is the definition of overnight success!

WASHINGTON (AP) – Pot-smoking patients or their sanctioned suppliers should not be targeted for federal prosecution in states that allow medical marijuana, prosecutors were told Monday in a new policy memo issued by the Justice Department.
Under the policy spelled out in a three-page legal memo, federal prosecutors are being told it is not a good use of their time to arrest people who use or provide medical marijuana in strict compliance with state law.
The guidelines issued by the department do, however, make it clear that federal agents will go after people whose marijuana distribution goes beyond what is permitted under state law or use medical marijuana as a cover for other crimes.
The memo advises prosecutors they “should not focus federal resources in your states on individuals whose actions are in clear and unambiguous compliance with existing state laws providing for the medical use of marijuana.”
The new policy is a significant departure from the Bush administration, which insisted it would continue to enforce federal anti-pot laws regardless of state codes.
“It will not be a priority to use federal resources to prosecute patients with serious illnesses or their caregivers who are complying with state laws on medical marijuana, but we will not tolerate drug traffickers who hide behind claims of compliance with state law to mask activities that are clearly illegal,” Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement.
By the government’s count, 14 states allow some use of marijuana for medical purposes: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Some medical marijuana advocates say Maryland shouldn’t be included in that group, because the law there only allows for reduced penalties for medical marijuana usage.
California stands out among those for the widespread presence of dispensaries – businesses that sell marijuana and even advertise their services.

Millions witnessed an ominous ring-shaped cloud appear over Moscow’s western districts, prompting citizens to stop in their tracks to record the phenomenon and put it on YouTube.
Some think it’s a UFO.
Others say it must have been photo-shopped or digitally enhanced.
But now a spokesperson with the Moscow weather department says the explanation is quite simple.
They say the formation is a cloud formed by an intrusion of arctic air and the sun shining from the west.

Associated Press: T.I. didn’t need to attend the BET Hip-Hop Awards to win two trophies on Saturday.
The rapper, who is locked up in an Arkansas penitentiary on a federal weapons conviction, won the best collaboration award with Rhianna for the song “Live Your Life” and the album of the year award for “Paper Trail.” His fiancee Tameka “Tiny” Cottle accepted his awards at the ceremony in Atlanta and read a letter by the rapper, who began serving a yearlong sentence in late May.
“Although I’m not there with you all, I’m there in spirit,” Cottle quoted the rapper as writing. “My road to redemption is almost over. … Thanks for the support.”
Jay-Z was honored as the “MVP of the Year,” while Drake took home “Rookie of the Year,” and Ice Cube received the “I Am Hip-Hop” icon award.
Ice Cube said he was humbled by the award, and he believes his career as filmmaker could earn him more honors in the future. He helped launch the gangsta rap genre with the group NWA, and he starred in “Barbershop” and “Friday,” which he also co-wrote.
“When you get recognized by your peers for a life of work, you got to be humbled,” the rap veteran said. “I’m honored by this. I have 20 more years of work left in me. I hope (BET) is ready to give out two of these awards.”
Rapper Busta Rhymes presented the award for “DJ of the Year” to DJ AM, the celebrity spinner who died of an accidental drug overdose in August.
Kanye West, meanwhile, couldn’t hijack the stage, because the rapper was a no-show. West had been expected to attend the fourth annual awards show. He fell under scrutiny for interrupting Taylor Swift’s award-winning moment at last month’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Jay-Z took the stage with Young Jeezy to perform “Real as It Gets” and rap group Goodie Mob performed its 1995 song “Cell Therapy.”
The award show will air on Oct. 27.

The “girls” pulverized the bad guys (around 1:22 in the clip), cleaned themselves off, and went on with their night. When the attackers managed to regain consciousness, they were arrested by local police.
The footage, which was captured by local security cameras, was used against the attackers in court on Monday — where they were found guilty of “using intimidating behavior” and sentenced to four months of “community order.”

A day after her joint tour with the rapper was canceled, the pop star said she’ll be hitting the road solo.
The West and Lady Gaga tour was supposed to kick off Nov. 10 in Phoenix.
Lady Gaga said the two “mutually decided to cancel the tour.” She says that West is “going to take some time off, but I’m not.”
Gaga says her tour will start in mid-November.
Gaga made the comments before accepting the “Rising Star” honor at Billboard’s annual Women in Music event Friday. Beyonce was honored as “Woman of the Year.

Gangstarr’s DJ Premier took to his blog Friday to honor Magic’s memory.
I want to send out the utmost respect and condolences to the memory of John Rivas — aka Mr. Magic.
He passed away this morning of a heart attack.
True hip hop heads know that his history is so long due to him being the first rap mixshow to ever be on commercial radio on New York’s WBLS (107.5) with Marley Marl and Fly Ty in 1982-1984. Then went on to to WHBI in October 1984 and then back to WBLS in 1985 and WDAS in Philly. Simultaneously he paved the way for all radio stations that ever did mixshows and also sparked the career of Boogie Down Productions due to the ids he showed when they came to shop their demo to him and was turned away which then sparked “South Bronx” and “The Bridge Is Over”. He was known for his direct and sarcastic attitude on the air and every artist wanted his approval when it came to breaking new records. He even had songs dedicated to him by the legendary Whodini (”Mr. Magic’s Wand”) which was surprisingly produced by one of my favorite artists, Thomas Dolby.
Shouts out to Marley Marl & Fly Ty for the correct information on this. Rest in Peace Mr. Magic.

"Alicia Keys tweeted and MaShonda (Swizz Beatz’ ex-wife) responds to their affair!"
Swizz Beatz’ estranged wife Mashonda is going public with her husband’s alleged affair with Alicia Keys. The R&B singer has written an open letter to the “Superwoman” on Twitter. The couple, who filed for divorce, have a two-and-a-half-year-old son together.
The following letter from Mashonda was issued in response to Keys’ tweet on Friday night: “Having a heated debate n the studio. Question is…N love is it better to go 4 the choice that is ‘SMART’ or the choice that has ‘SPARK’??”
After having a great evening with my son and enjoying some fun twit chat, I decided to sign off and get some work done. However, a few hours later I was advised that I should check @aliciakeys twit page. I’ve never reached out to her on twitter before. I feel our issues are a lot more serious than a website conversation. Not to mention that I’ve reached out to her many times in the beginning of this whole thing, as any wife would do. Unfortunately, I never succeeded in getting a response. The 1st time I meet AK, my husband introduced us to each other at an event. ( I have no choice but to call him my husband, until he is not anymore) In the messages that I sent to her (AK), I made it very clear that on the contrary of what she might be hearing, I am still married to my husband, living with him and just had a child. Its been two years and I still have not received a response. What I do receive, is constant displays of selfishness and disconcern to me and my son.
I was a fan of AK’s last album, we were both signed to J Records and I always checked up on her projects. I sang her songs and admired her for creating Superwoman and Karma, I would never deny her, her talent. I believed in her until I found out she was possibly sleeping with my husband. The affair was denied by both, until it was finally admitted months later.
Already I can hear some of you saying ” why are u blaming her, You cant make someone leave their wife, You cant break something thats broken”. Well, my marriage was not broken, as far as I knew we were celebrating our sons birth and getting ready to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary . Call it blind love, whatever. I call it being a devoted wife..

"Khloe Kardashian Cheat Sheet: 5 need-to-know things about Lamar Odom"
1) He turned pro a decade ago
Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, Odom began his basketball career during high school. He briefly enrolled at the University of Nevada Las Vegas before transferring to the University of Rhode Island where he led the team to the Atlantic-10 championship. After his freshman year, the L.A. Clippers drafted him before he went on to play with the Miami Heat in 2003. He’s been with the L.A. Lakers since 2004.
2) He’s had to deal with personal tragedies from a young age
His single mother, Cathy Mercer, a corrections and traffic officer, died from colon cancer when Odom was 12. His grandmother raised him after Cathy’s death but she died in 2003 during a season when Odom was sidelined for injuries. Three years later – on the exact day his grandmother passed away – his 6-month-old son Jayden died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome while sleeping in a crib. (He has two other kids, Destiny, 10, and Lamar Jr., 7., with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales)
3) He’s busy off the court
Odom’s business ventures include Rich Soil Entertainment, his music and film production company, and Son of Man, a line of Christian-themed apparel, which includes polos, jeans, and T-shirts. “Remember when Jay-Z wore a Che Guevara T-shirt? Nobody knew who Che was. Then Jay-Z wears it and it’s everywhere,” Odom told ESPN. “That’s what I’m trying to do with this [clothing line]. My Man don’t get his props and he’s the biggest icon in the world.”
4) He’s faced a handful of scandals
While at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, school administrators withdrew his scholarship after a Sports Illustrated article questioned his standardized test scores. A NCAA investigation also discovered he was receiving cash payments from a booster before and after the university said he wasn’t allowed to enroll at the school. A few years later in 2001, Odom was suspended while playing with the Clippers for violating the NBA’s drug policy – he reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana – twice in less than a year.
5) He’s got a huge sweet tooth
Electrolyte-filled sports drinks? Protein bars? Nope, Odom says he boosts his energy by eating candy – and lots of it.

Roc Raida (Anthony Williams) member of DJ Crew The X-Ecutioners (aka The X-Men) has died at the age of 37.

Awaiting final confirmation, artists and associates including Da Beatminerz and Busta Rhymes have stated that turntablism pioneer and instructor Roc Raida has died this weekend. The New York-based deejay was most known for his years with the award-winning X-Men (b/k/a) The X-Ecutioners. This crew, whose legendary lineup included founder Rob Swift, Total Eclipse, Mista Sinista and Roc Raida (Steve Dee, DJ Boogie Blind and DJ Precision were also members at various times).
Last month, it was reported that the deejay was hospitalized as a result of a spinal injury. Although those reports have yet to be officially confirmed, the Hip Hop industry began a campaign wishing the innovator for a speedy recovery.
At 37 years old, Roc Raida won numerous ITF and DMC championships for his turntable skills. Although he is remembered for his jovial character away from the decks, Raida was an innovator in cut-throat deejay battles that often involved incorporating competitor’s names into his mixes. Raida’s also known for his agile spin-moves, and often making acrobatic cuts on the turntable, through legs, over the shoulder, and using his mouth to cut the fader.
Through his AdiarCor imprint, Roc Raida released over half a dozen CDs and DVDs, that were both mixtapes, documentaries and instructionals for aspiring deejays.
