A Michelle Carter Movie Is In the Works

…and we already know who is playing Michelle.

It was a Massachusetts court case that made national headlines.  Michelle Carter, who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for encouraging her then boyfriend Conrad Roy to take his own life, is getting the Lifetime treatment.  Attorneys for Carter, who was sentenced to 15 months in prison last summer, are currently appealing her conviction.  Meanwhile Lifetime cast Bella Thorne to play Carter, 21.  You can read more about the movie here. Thorne, best known for her roles in HBO’s Big Love and Disney’s, “Shake it Up” has made more headlines recently for dating people like Scott Disick and exhibiting, “Lohan like” public behaviors.  Conrad Roy will be played by actor Austin McKenzie, a broadway turned TV/film star who currently dates former Glee lead Kevin McHale.

“Conrad & Michelle: If Words Could Kill” premieres on Lifetime on September 23.
