Rob Gronkowski: House burglarized while he was at the Super Bowl

A police investigtion is underway after reports of a possible break-in at the home of New England Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski.

The Patriots returned home to Foxborough, MA on Monday after their 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Reports came in around 6:00pm Monday night about a possible break-in at the tight end’s home. Police responded immediatley and were on the scene for hours speaking with Gronk.

According to the Foxborough police chief, William Baker, police are considering this “a routine property crime investigation”.

Not much has been said about the exact items stolen or any possible suspects in the case. Although there have been reports of safes and possible guns being taken from the home, it was not addressed by Baker. He said in a written statement, “Out of respect for the homeowner’s privacy and because this remains a very active and dynamic criminal investigation, the police are not releasing any information about items stolen or possible suspects as this case moves forward… We will have no further comment on the case until the case is solved.”

“Whether you’re Rob Gronkowski or Bill Baker, being the victim of a residential property crime like that is unpleasant,” Baker said.

Best of luck to Gronk, it seems as though the next time we will be hearing about this is when the case is solved and justice is served!
