USA Network has picked up the pilot titled Unsolved that chronicles the two major police investigations of the most notorious deaths in music history. Apparently the show will follow the experiences of former LAPD detective Greg Kading, who task forces investigating the murders. I was a big fan of the American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson  series that FX had this past year, and this show seems to be following the same type of vibe. It’s pretty amazing that more than twenty years after the passing of Tupac Shakur, we still don’t have any answers to his murder. I’m excited to see the dramatization of how things unfolded behind the scenes as police forces not only had to investigate the murders, but had to deal with the ongoing pressures of East/West violence. These two are still celebrated today as two of the greatest rappers in history, and I’m sure a show based on their murders will garner some high ratings. I know I’m looking forward to it.
