Jagged Edge’s JE Heartbreak II is #1 R&B Album in the Country

Image Courtesy So So Def RecordingsJagged Edge continues to prove their staying power. The R&B quartet’s eighth studio album, JE Heartbreak II, has become the #1 R&B album in the country according to Billboard.

Jermaine Dupri, the album’s executive producer, expressed his excitement for the band that he initially signed in 1997 and helped create their signature sound.

“This initial response to JE Heartbreak II confirms my belief that people really do want true R&B,” says the So So Def CEO in a statement. “I look forward to continue showing the industry that this kind of music is wanted in today’s marketplace.”

The album serves as the sequel to 2000’s double platinum-album, J.E. Heartbreak. It was released via a new deal with BMG Primary Wave Artists Services and So So Def Recordings.
